As a part of a team in Kolibri who participated in a tender to get a contract with the Icelandic government.
Our project was to create an application for maternity leave anddonly had a few days to do so.
Part of my role as the UI designer was to create a sample of the solution along with a design system, record an explanation video and present the final product to a panel of experts.
Our solution won us a contract with the government.

We collaborated as a team comprising a Product Owner, a Team Coach, two Programmers, and a UX Expert who conducted a design sprint in collaboration with the Justice Department of Iceland. Our primary objective was to identify ways to streamline the process of detaining an individual.
As the team's MVP solution designer, I was tasked with creating a prototype and designing future ideas. Afterward, the team continued to work on the project until it was launched, at which point another Kolibri team took over to iterate, maintain, and add additional features.
The solution we developed was awarded the Best Web System of 2020 at the Icelandic Web Award.
Design Sprint
During a design sprint with the District Commissioner, I assumed the role of a designer, and we sought to establish a more efficient and transparent process for parents, guardians, and advisors to change a child's legal address.
As the designated MVP designer, I was responsible for creating a prototype and establishing a journey map.
Subsequently, another team at Kolibri continued to work on the project, refining and improving the solution further.
